Micron and Anthropic sign a memory supply, co-design and investment deal; Micron joins the Series H

★★hardware-computeMicronAnthropicconfidence: high

On June 22, 2026 Micron and Anthropic announced a strategic agreement. It covers co-design of memory and storage for AI workloads, a multi-year supply deal across HBM, DRAM and SSDs, internal Claude deployment at Micron, and a Micron investment in Anthropic's Series H (amount undisclosed). With Samsung and SK Hynix already partners, press noted all three HBM makers now supply Anthropic.

Key facts

What happened

Micron became a supplier, investor and customer of Anthropic at once, a month after the $65B Series H.

Why it matters

Memory, HBM above all, is one of the tightest bottlenecks in AI compute in 2026. Locking in all three HBM vendors is part of how Anthropic secures the capacity behind its compute deals.
